1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information: Personal information including name, email address, and property address. Account and usage information including login credentials and app usage data. Property and appliance information including appliance details, warranty information, and property-related data. Payment information is processed securely by Stripe — we do not store your credit card details directly.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide and maintain the App's functionality, create and manage your account, enable tracking and management of appliances and warranties, communicate with you via email and in-app messaging, and provide customer support. For users on free plans, we may use appliance data and property address to deliver relevant advertising within the App. We may also use appliance data for affiliate marketing such as replacement recommendations.

3. Communications

All communications are conducted via email and/or within the App. We do not use phone-based communication or collect phone-related data.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We may share data only with service providers necessary to operate the App (such as payment processing via Stripe), to comply with legal obligations, or to protect our legal rights.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the App. Each receives only what is needed to provide that service:

• Base44 — hosts the App, its database and file storage.
• Stripe — processes payments; we do not store your card details.
• Postmark — sends account, reminder, invite and certificate emails, and receives the recipient email address and email content needed to deliver them.
• AI document processing (provided through Base44) — when you choose to scan a receipt or smoke alarm label, the image is processed to extract product details.
• OpenStreetMap Nominatim — address text you type into address fields is sent to suggest matching Australian addresses.
• Google Analytics — uses cookies to measure how the site is used (pages viewed, device, browser and approximate location). You can opt out with Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

6. Data Storage and Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. Some of these providers store or process data outside Australia, including in the United States. We take reasonable steps to ensure they protect your information consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles.

7. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access the personal data we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate data, request deletion of your data, and opt out of certain marketing communications. You can exercise these rights by updating your account settings within the app or by contacting us.

8. Data Retention

We retain your data only as long as necessary to provide the App's services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements.

9. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for individuals under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted within the App with a revised effective date.
